There is a tree in every Kerala courtyard that nobody planted on purpose. It simply grew — and stayed. Offering shade to the afternoon, shelter to the sparrows, silence to whoever sat beneath it long enough to exhale.
Thanal is named for that shade.
Hand block printed on pristine Kuthampully cotton, this saree carries two tree motifs — one rendered in deep forest green, bold and full-crowned; the other in warm earth, quieter, as if it belongs to an older season. Together they speak of the layered rhythms of nature: what flourishes and what endures. The kasavu gold border runs through like sunlight finding its way between leaves — unhurried, inevitable.
Each motif on Thanal is pressed by hand, block by block, the way craft has always understood patience. No two sarees are exactly alike, and that is entirely the point.
Wear it to the office on a morning that needs grounding. Wear it to the temple when you want to arrive as yourself. Wear it to a celebration and let the forest come with you.

- Dry in shade to preserve color and fabric strength
- Iron on low to medium heat on the reverse side
- Avoid machine washing and tumble drying
