The Story
If you look up into the dense, emerald canopies of the Kerala rainforest, you might catch a glimpse of the Great Indian Hornbill—the Vezhambal. With its striking pitch-black feathers and fierce, deep orange beak, it is a masterclass in nature’s contrasts.

We translated that exact, majestic energy into our Block & Verse collection. The Vezhambal saree features a dramatic, stark black canvas of pure Kuthampully handloom cotton, brought to life with vibrant, deep orange hand block prints. It is a drape that commands attention without saying a word—a beautiful balance of dark mystery and warm, earthy fire.

Bold, breathable, and effortlessly sophisticated, this is a saree designed for the woman who isn't afraid to stand out.

Why Vezhambal?
As part of our Block & Verse collection, this saree turns traditional handloom into modern art. Because we use authentic hand block printing techniques, the deep orange motifs carry the subtle, beautiful rhythm of the artisan's hand—no two drapes are exactly alike. It’s the perfect statement piece for an evening event, a gallery visit, or commanding the room at the office.
